Policy & Payment

ELIGIBILITY FOR ALL CLASSES:

  • Dogs must be in good health
  • Dogs must be non-aggressive towards people and other dogs
  • All dogs, purebred, mixed breeds and dogs with disabilities are encouraged to participate
  • Female dogs in season are permitted to attend with prior approval and if wearing panties

BRING TO CLASS:

  • A hungry dog (this increases your dog's interest in food rewards). It is recommended that you do not feed your dog prior to class. 
  • Plenty of LOW and HIGH value soft treats: string cheese, hot dogs, chicken, freeze dried liver, Plato, Crumps, Fruitables, etc. Treats that are dry and crumbly are not recommended. 
  • Frozen stuffed food toys like a Kong or West Paw Toppl (for breaks, downtime, class discussions)
  • Bring 2-3 items your dog finds rewarding: food, non-squeaky toy, tugs, etc
  • Mat for traction on the floor that is large enough for your dog to fit its entire body on. This is used for place training so something light (for example, crate mat, yoga mat, bath rug, etc.)
  • Treat bag
  • Water for yourself and your dog - water bowl
  • A properly fitted collar or harness.
  • A 4ft or 6ft leash
  • A long line (minimum 10 feet, maximum 30 feet).
  • Small battery operated fan, if desired
  • Bring appropriate sun protection as this is an outside venue.


OPTIONAL ITEMS:

  • Soft or Wire Dog Crate
  • Chair
  • Clicker

HEEL WITH ME AND CGC CLASS ITEMS NEEDED:


NOT PERMITTED TO ANY CLASS:

  • Retractable or Flexi leashes
  • Prong, choke, electric shock, citronella or bark collars
  • X-Pens

CLASS POLICY

  • Bring your completed, signed Waivers to the first day of class.
  • Each registered dog may have one adult in class. Please refrain from bringing children, relatives, visitors, other and dogs since they will not be allowed in the training area during class.
  • Sneakers or closed shoes are required for all classes.
  • Be mindful of your dog’s behavior throughout the class. If your dog is barking excessively or otherwise unmanageable you will be excused from class.
  • Allow enough time to park and set up PRIOR to bringing your dog into the training area.
  • Set up your space with enough room in between other students.
  • Once set up you may acclimate your dog to the training environment.
  • Be sure to take your dog to potty prior to the start of class and clean up after your dog. Do NOT allow your dog to potty in the training area. Potty area is on the grass by the parking lot only. 
  • Dogs must always be kept on leash.
  • Please do not allow your dog to interact with other dogs in the class.

PAYMENT POLICY

Once a class is confirmed based on the required number of participant registrations, you will receive an email with payment instructions, address to the training facility if not already listed on the sign up and other important class information. Unpaid registrations cannot be held and will be given to any student on our waitlist. Classes with less than minimum participation (determined by the number of paid spots) are subject to cancellation.


Class refunds will be permitted with 72 hours advance written notice. Refunds will not be given once classes begin.
